PROXIES

Finding proxies who are willing to share access to their DNA kits has proven to be more difficult than I anticipated. My parents, my oldest sister, and my grandparents are Ancestors. I cast a wide net and reached out to family members who have kits on Ancestry and 23 and Me to please share access to their DNA matches. Crickets. I even reached out to them via social media just in case they missed my messages on Ancestry. So, I utilized the DNA information I currently know to slowly pull the pieces together to form a complete picture. Below are the children of Big Mama and their descendants who are DNA matches on Ancestry, 23 and Me, and My Heritage.

PROXIES FOR WILLIE CAMPBELL

Willie Campbell is my maternal great-grandmother and the fourth daughter of Big Mama.

Micah Vincent is my half-brother. In my family, we don't use those terms. We share the same mother but have different fathers. He is a unique match because all of our shared matches are maternal.

David Lee is the son of my grand uncle Trefus Lee.

Tanya Davis is the great-granddaughter of my grand aunt Bruetta (The Storyteller). Simone and James Giles Jr. are the grandchildren of my granduncle Ralph.

UNCLE ARBY IS KEY

My great-granduncle Arby Benson is my Big Mama's youngest and only son. He shares a different father than my great-grandmother. He is the son of her second husband, Cebron Benton. His descendants are very helpful. Uncle Arby only had one daughter. We only share matches with people who are descendants of Big Mama.
